Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Atlas, a product of Luminexa Studio (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using Atlas, you agree to them. If you don’t, you can close your account from your profile and we’ll delete it within 30 days.

The short version

• Be reasonable — don’t upload illegal content.
• Your photos are your photos. We never claim ownership; you grant us only the storage and display rights we need to run the service.
• Atlas is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep it up but don’t promise infallibility — back up irreplaceable photos elsewhere too.
• During open beta, Atlas is free. We’ll give you 30 days’ notice before introducing paid plans.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for anything done under your account. Notify us at security@luminexa.tech if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that’s illegal, infringing, abusive, or hateful.
• Upload content depicting minors in any sexual or exploitative context.
• Probe or stress-test our infrastructure beyond reasonable personal use.
• Resell, scrape, or rebrand Atlas without a written agreement.

Violating these may result in account suspension or termination without notice if the violation is severe.

Your content

You retain all rights to the photos and information you upload. You grant Atlas a non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service. This license ends when you delete the content from Atlas.

Service availability

Atlas is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We don’t guarantee uptime, accuracy of automatic features (face detection, location tagging), or that the service will be uninterrupted. Keep backups of irreplaceable content.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Luminexa Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or photos. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you’ve paid Atlas in the prior 12 months (which during beta is $0).

Termination

You may close your account at any time from your profile. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe pose security or legal risks. Upon termination, your photos and metadata are removed within 30 days, with a 90-day soft-delete window in S3 (so we can recover accidental account closures).

Changes

These terms may change as the product evolves. Material changes will be sent to your account email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
